Event Medical Specialists, a small business which serves events with outstanding medical staff, is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT or EMT-IV). Event Medical Specialists employs Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Paramedics, and Certified Athletic Trainers who can work as a single resource or large team depending on the requirements of the event.

This position requires experience with patient care in the pre-hospital or hospital Emergency Department. Event locations and environments vary from stationary medical positions to vehicle and bike positions to effectively provide rapid response to event participants all over Colorado. The responsibilities will vary and include punctuality, practicing medicine within Denver Metro protocols, working in a team to provide competent medical response. We are searching for an employee who can grow with us into event managers. The first year would have a mentorship component.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

Certification/Licensure as an EMT, EMT-IV, or EMT-A in the State of Colorado
3 Months+ of experience with pre-hospital or in-hospital emergency medicine
Comfortable working outside in the varied weather of Colorado
Experience with mountain biking, hiking, and managing small teams a plus
Primary Responsibilities:

Communicating effectively with patients and clients to manage their needs in a confident way
Briefing staff on client & company requirements to facilitate employee success
Following medical plans to effectively deliver care at client events
Medical equipment readiness: check & maintain readiness of medical equipment
Arrive on time to assigned events
Staffing 1-4 events per week
Ability to visit our Broomfield office for orientation & equipment assignment
EMT Position Compensation

Wage of $24-27 per hour depending on responsibilities, experience & certifications
Work beyond 2 shifts per month is optional at your discretion
Company vehicle available for most events outside Denver Metro

Team Evergreen Cycling Hosted the 2023 Triple Bypass and it was an awesome day with the weather everyone hoped for! Thanks to all the providers who covered finish lines, bike paths, and roads to provide a safety net for all the participants!

Evergreen Cycling's Triple Bypass cycling tour is a Colorado monument. We're proud to be their medical provider on course. We work with local agencies, cover bike paths, and provide a unified system stretching across their 106 mile course using vehicle, bikes, ebikes, and foot power.

Thanks to all the staff that gave their best on a long and sometimes wet day this year!

Event Medical Specialists, based in Boulder and serving all of Colorado, is adding EMTs and paramedics for our summer season. Since 2010 we have served cycling races, high school sports, remote athletic events, music festivals, and all the other things people do outside. Be a part of a positive team with the equipment you need to do your job well, and no billing paperwork!

Pay based on experience and performance:
EMTs: $21-23/hr
Paramedics: $23-25/hr
Travel time paid, 6 hour pay minimums for short events

We are seeking 2 paramedics for part time work, of 5-20 hours per week. Interest/experience in Search & Rescue, water rescue, athletics a plus but not necessary. 6+ months of 911 experience required.
