Fascinating and worth the read. Science is catching up with what Chinese Medicine has understood for years about treating mental health disorders and imbalances. Sometimes treating a different but connected system can dramatically improve or cure seemingly fixed and disabling patterns. Something I have witnessed in my own practice again and again. I recall a young adolescent boy whose life and that of his family was greatly affected by disabling obssesive compulsive disorder.... within half a year of recieving acupuncture treatments and chinese herbal medicine he was off all of his western medicaitons and no longer could be given that diagnosis.

A bone-marrow transplant treated a patient’s leukemia — and his delusions, too. Some doctors think they know why.

Over 20 years ago I opened my doors...

Over 20 years ago I opened the doors of my Oriental Medicine practice and since then have had offices in Denver, Eldorado Springs, various clinics in Boulder and now over 7 years at the current location at 100 Arapahoe Avenue, nestled up against the foothills at the base of Boulder Canyon near Eben G. Fine Park. I have the good fortune to share the clinic with a great crew of practitioners, counselors, bodyworkers extraordinaire!

Some things have changed in time, I now offer psychotherapy and teach Taoist Qi Gong. Although I primarily practice Japanese Acupuncture (generally quite subtle & painless) I still use traditional chinese acupuncture methods when appropriate. I also treat a wide variety of musco-skeletal injuries due to repetive motion, aging and sports medicine with Trigger point & Acu-point Injection Therapy using homeopathic Traumeel & Zeel with often fantastic results.

Although I have studied and received extensive specialized training in areas ranging from auto-immune disorders and neurological syndromes like Parkinson’s, M.S., Sjogrens to working with hard to treat Chronic Pain Disorders, Fibromyalgia and various Gastro-Intestinal issues... and treat a wide variety of patients from around the county- the primary focus of my practice is on individual and whole family health care. I work with couples who may be having fertility issues (in addition to working with women’s health I have a male reproductive health specialty) and then see families through a safe pregnancy. I treat young children, adolescents and teens for immune & digestive disorders, common injuries as well as attention & behavioral disorders as well as working with anxiety and depression.
