We are so excited and proud of our dear friend, and long-time BP studio family member, Donna Crain, and her husband , Jay! They made an incredible short documentary film that anyone who likes film, an inspiring story of unlikely triumph , and/or cycling, will LOVE! It’s playing right here in Boulder on March 11th, and I promise, you won’t want to miss it. I loved every second of this film, and can’t wait to see it again! REqd more below in Donna’s own words:

“What do you do when you find yourself in midlife, lose your job—which has also become a big part of your identity, and you also didn’t see coming—and suddenly have no real plan for how you’re going to live out the rest of your years?

Well, you suck it up and decide to make a film, of course! The next thing you know you’re in France and then Italy shooting an underdog story about an Italian pro cyclist’s unlikely win on Mont Ventoux during the 1994 Tour de France.

GRINTA! is a nostalgic, funny, and romantic tale about Olympic gold medalist, TTT World Champion, and stage winner of the Tour de France, Eros Poli. Grinta is Italian for grit and determination, and watching the film just might inspire you take on a big new scary thing too.

This short doc from Bolder Pilates alum, Donna Crain is screening Wednesday, March 11th at the Dairy Center along with the launch of her husband Jay’s book, Grinta for Life, and the community that’s aimed at helping 10,000 midlifers live happier, and longer, better.”

Becca brings a joyful, grounded energy to every class — and a deep love for movement, growth, and connection.

✈️ She loves traveling with her family and has a goal to visit one new country every year (Switzerland is next for skiing, cheese, and chocolate 🧀🍫).

🔥 Favorite move to teach: The 100 — a true Pilates foundation that can be practiced anywhere, by anyone, and adapted for every body.

🎶 What gets her moving: Phish or anything funky.

It feels strange to carry on with business as usual right now.

So many businesses across Colorado have chosen to close today in solidarity with their communities and in response to recent events — and we see and honor that choice.

What’s happening in our country right now, goes far beyond politics. Many are living in a collective trauma-state, holding grief, fear, anger, and confusion all at once. It can feel disorienting to keep moving through our days while so much feels broken.

Let us be clear: we do not support what is happening — the loss of life, the use of force, or the fear and harm being inflicted on communities. We are angry. We are heartbroken. And we are honest enough to say we don’t know how to fix what feels so deeply broken right now.

While each of us is grieving, processing, and taking action in the ways that feel right for us individually, we want you to know this: we are here for our community.

You are welcome to show up exactly as you are — heavy, tender, exhausted, hopeful, unsure. We will meet you there.

We believe movement can be a place to land when everything feels unsteady — not to escape what’s happening, but to help keep us afloat mentally and physically.

We will continue to move together.
We will continue to hold space.
We will continue to care for one another.
