Spring Brings us Together -

A sure sign of spring is when you see more people gather in groups, inside and outdoors. A word of gratitude to Harvest of Hope for bringing a fine selection of food to us at Golden West, on the first and third Thursdays of the month. Harvest of Hope Pantry opened in 2012 and is the only food pantry in Boulder that serves everyone who comes to their door. They offer a shopping experience so individuals can select their preferred foods including fruit, vegetables, bakery items, canned foods, dairy, meat, and frozen foods.

Residents enjoyed their Trishaw rides with MilesofSmiles last weekend. The weather was nice and the smiles were everywhere! We're so grateful to the volunteers and friends at Miles of Smiles -- thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you to TRU PACE for their monthly visits. Once a month they visit us and bring a craft or activity for our residents to enjoy. This month residents painted ceramic animals. It's a nice way to share time together while doing something fun.

What's AcuDetox?
It's a five-needle acupuncture treatment in the ear used to help people with trauma, mental health and resilience. Frequently offered to people immediately after disasters, the treatment has been used worldwide to reduce stress and anxiety. Available only to Golden West residents, treatments are being offered on Sundays, between 2 - 3 p.m in the dining room. Learn more at BoulderAcuDetox.org. Services are provided by Natural Highs Come by and check it out.
