There are nights when we get patients that just had a weeeee too much to drink, or could just be a diabetic who’s had too much to drink and his sugar sky rockets. Either way, class 6 learning to determine if this is a medical emergency or behavioral or both.

Class 5 on their MCI call. Aftermath of an active shooter incident. This was one of our most chaotic calls yet, and while class 5 did very well, in EMS there is always room for improvement ! Proud of them! Thank you as well to our wonderful actors!

Class 5 on trauma calls. This one is a freak home explosion, but they had to learn to work quickly to identify life threats, apply a cervical coller and properly place a patient on a backboard, all while conducting a thorough physical assessment .
This class has come a long way and will soon be ready for their mass casualty call next Friday!

Class 5 learning how to talk and take care of children. Most often think that children are just tiny adults when that is far from the truth. Teaching Class 5 to understand the different types of mentality during different ages and to get down to their level. It’s not just taking care of a child it’s also taking care of the parent as well

Class 4’s final major call, a mass casualty incident! We ran the call twice. 1st one is always chaos as well as the second one, but it’s to teach them communication with their incident commander and especially with each other to ensure patient care and safety.
