Scientists made brain tissue regenerate using sound waves in a stunning breakthrough

Researchers at the University of Oxford have developed a method to regenerate brain tissue using focused ultrasound pulses — a non-invasive technique that stimulates neural stem cells to regrow damaged areas of the brain. In rat models, this restored memory and motor function after stroke-like injury.

The technique, called transcranial pulse stimulation (TPS), works by sending low-intensity sound waves through the skull to targeted brain regions. These waves trigger biochemical changes in the extracellular matrix and increase the permeability of neuron membranes, allowing stem cells to differentiate and migrate more easily.

Within weeks, MRI scans of treated rats showed new synapse formation and blood vessel growth in previously dead brain zones. The animals also regained maze memory and limb control — a feat previously thought impossible in adult mammals without implanted stem cells.

What’s revolutionary here is that it avoids surgery, gene editing, or foreign cells. The body’s own regenerative machinery is simply activated, not replaced. It's a kind of “biological reboot,” nudging the brain into self-repair.

The researchers now plan human trials focused on post-stroke dementia and Parkinson’s disease, where brain tissue degeneration leads to rapid loss of quality of life. If successful, this could revolutionize how we treat neural trauma, potentially eliminating the need for invasive implants.

Imagine Alzheimer’s being treated with a short sound session instead of months of declining cognition. Sound may become the scalpel of the 21st century — invisible, precise, and deeply healing.

The One Who Speaks with Stones
They say the Blue Heron was not born from egg or sky—but carved from river rock by the first hands of the land. He rose when the world needed a listener, not a voice.
By the water’s edge, he speaks with stones—the old ones who remember when the forest was still a whisper. He learns their quiet language, waits through seasons, never rushing answers. The wind forgets, but the stones do not. And so, neither does he.
The elders say he appears when a heart is heavy and silence is needed more than sound. He does not offer comfort. He offers truth—the kind that arrives slow, like dawn through fog.
He walks the shoreline between worlds: land and water, memory and becoming.
He is not a messenger. He is the pause before the message.
And in that stillness, healing begins.
We call him T’łikwaan — He Who Listens to What Is Buried.

My Story

I was blessed enough to have a sense of Spirit at a very young age, questioning the major religions of the world and exploring the healing cosmologies of South America, Africa, the indigenous peoples, Egypt, and the East. began seeing visions of Jesus and Mary as a young child and would speak with them as old friends. They shone a bright light in my life and comforted me when I would see and hear other unexplainable people and voices that did not belong in physical bodies.

As with many people, the voice of Spirit is not always loud enough to be heard over the din of belief systems and projections, and I had my ups and downs being loyal to the part of me that was rooted in Spirit and Truth. I began to major in Religion at Wellesley College at 18 and dreamed of a priesthood my gender would not allow. (I also dreamed of the military, again something not allowed at the time). And so it wasn’t until I was in my late twenties and I felt I had lost my way from knowing myself that I again began praying in earnest for a Spiritual teacher who would recognize and train me in my gifts and increase my connection to Spirit.

I came out of my spiritual closet and began doing mediumship Akashic Record readings at this time. Still looking, still yearning, still learning. My daughter had an extreme crisis around this time for which I sought spiritual help after all other methods had been exhausted (more about that later, there is a book in the works!). I met a woman who would change my life and teach me to anchor my gifts in the physical world, to connect the energies of heaven here on earth, and empower me to access my inner truth and grow my siddhis (seeds of light consciousness) to spread on the winds of consciousness and to bring more light to others.

I learned many things with this training and branched out to learn more, continuing to work on myself even as I worked on others in service and light with my healing gifts.
