Last week Dr Silverbrook got to meet with US Senator Angela Alsobrooks to discuss fibroids. Senator Alsobrooks is working on legislation to increase research and awareness for fibroids, which impact up to 80% of all women!

Dr. Alexander Powell graduated from Brandeis University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. Following clinical research engagements at the National Cancer Institute in Frederick MD and Northwestern University, he obtained his Master’s of Science Degree in Biomedical Science and his Medical Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his Internship and Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Inova Fairfax Hospital, serving as Wellness Chief Resident in his final year of Residency.
