During the Maryland General Assembly session, a licensed physician is stationed at the State House first-aid room to provide on-site medical support for lawmakers, staff, and visitors. They’re there to handle medical emergencies, minor injuries, and everyday health issues that come up during the (sometime long) session days. This role helps keep the legislative process running smoothly by ensuring immediate care is available right where decisions are being made.
Thanks to MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society for allowing me to serve as doctor of the day!
We have Dr. Sarah Merritt joining us in Annapolis this evening serving as MedChi’s . Thanks for coming out in the cold and snow!
