🌿 World Kindness Day: Lessons from Comfrey 🌿 (Long post!)
Today is World Kindness Day, and honestly… it feels like a reminder we all need right now.
Kindness isn’t just about smiling at strangers or saying nice things online. It’s about pausing—really pausing—to ask:
✨ Is what I’m about to say or do kind?
✨ Would I speak this way to someone I love?
✨ Am I offering myself the same compassion I give to others?
This morning, I pulled Comfrey from The Herbiary Oracle Deck by Maia Toll, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect message for today.
Comfrey is known as a healer—she mends skin, bones, and even soil. She’s all about restoration. But she also teaches us an important truth: sometimes healing that happens too fast doesn’t last. Comfrey can over-mend—just like we humans do.
We rush to “get over it,” to “bounce back,” because society tells us strength means never cracking. And capitalism loves to whisper that our worth is tied to productivity. But that’s a lie. You are not a machine. Your pace, your healing, your rhythm—they’re yours alone.
So today, take a breath and ask yourself:
💚 What if you could find joy in the breaking?
💚 What possibilities might open if you trusted that every crumble clears space for new growth?
💚 What if, like the Tower in tarot, you allowed what no longer serves you to fall away—so you can rebuild with intention, compassion, and heart?
Kindness begins when we allow space for imperfection. When we stop rushing our healing. When we let the Heart Chakra breathe again.
So be kind today—to others, yes—but especially to yourself. 🌿
