Meet our Pharmacy Resident, Albany Stewart!

"Greetings. My name is Albany Stewart, and I am originally from Nashville, Tennessee—a place where it is not uncommon to experience all four seasons in a single week. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Tennessee State University. Motivated by a deep passion for learning, I continued my academic journey by obtaining a Master of Science in Molecular Medicine from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I also developed an appreciation for seafood, now one of my favorite cuisines.

My dedication to education led me to pursue and earn a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Belmont University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Nashville. During my time in pharmacy school, I held leadership roles in organizations such as NCODA and Kappa Psi, and I was inducted into the Rho Chi Honor Society. My primary clinical interests include Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, and Oncology.

Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I enjoy spending quality time with my family on cruises, engaging in recreational activities such as axe throwing and escape rooms, and playing competitive board games—particularly Monopoly. My overarching goals in life are to continually strive for personal growth and to serve as a source of motivation and encouragement for individuals from all walks of life."

Meet our Pharmacy Resident, Morteza Kaveh!

He is a recent University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy graduate and a current PGY1 Pharmacy Resident. During his pharmacy school, he was involved in one research project, which resulted in one publication at the American Academy of Neurology and one poster presentation at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Midyear. He was also actively involved in ASHP and APHA-ASP. Morteza is driven by his commitment to patient-centered care, continuous learning, and health equity advocacy.

He looks forward to continuing his experience and becoming a specialized pharmacist and researcher. His clinical interests are cardiology, critical care, and infectious diseases, and he also has a passion for teaching and mentoring.

He likes spending time with his family, playing soccer, and playing video games with his son in his free time. A fun fact about him is that he played soccer for his college’s soccer team.
