Hi, friends! We are searching for:

10 FAMILIES willing to commit to making
10 CARDS for seniors over the next week.

The first 10 families to commit to do so will receive one of these cute mini card-making caddies for FREE!

(These are put together from Dollar Tree items. I will deliver yours to your front porch.)

We are trying to collect 138 more cards to complete our second round of card-giving to seniors in residence care facilities.

💐 Every single senior citizen currently staying in a residential care facility in Bowling Green, Ohio have now received a loving card FROM ONE OF YOU! 💐

You weren’t there to hear “Thank you!” from the person who received your card, and you didn’t get to see the joy that perhaps came over their face or filled their heart when they opened it. Sometimes life is like that. Thank you for spreading love and kindness anyway!

📬 Theres a new drop-off bin at Conneaut Elementary!!! 📬
We need just 18 more cards and together we will have given a cheerful card to every nursing home resident in Bowling Green!

Can you or you and your family make 5 cards this week for our senior friends in town?

Socially distant crafting with friends!

These neighborhood kids met at the side walk, made some sweet cards for a great cause, enjoyed the sunshine, and enjoyed seeing each other... even if only from across the street from one another. Separated by wisdom, joined by love. ❤️

Simple drawings or colorings ON INDEX CARDS, by the kids, glued onto cardstock = beautiful! Drop off some index cards your kids have drawn on and I’ll happily finish things off if you’d like!

Make sure they sign their name and age so the recipients of their hard work can appreciate their little handwriting and imagine themselves at that age!

Shout out to “Art for Kids Hub” you tube channel! 3 kids + 3 blank cards + 5 minutes + two choices of SPRING-themed drawings from the site above = 3 joyful senior residents in Bowling Green! We’ve been writing things like, “Happy Spring!” and “Thinking of You!”

Share your photos!!! Let’s see your kids in action, spreading some love and creativity!

Side note: This has also been good discussion for my perfectionistic child(ren) who might want to tear up a picture that doesn’t turn out just how they want it to. I’ve been telling her/him/them things like, “Please finish it. That drawing, even if it isn’t turning out just like you’d hoped, is going to make someone smile!”

Who has a stash of generic cards on-hand?
📝 Dig them out, fill them out, drop them off or mail them in! We’re trying to collect enough cards, notes, or drawings to give one to every senior citizen in a care facility in Bowling Green, OH. ❤️

📬(The labeled collection bin is at the street, next to the mailbox. So far it’s got 4 cards in it! It’s hungry for more! Message me if you need the address.)📬

THE BASICS:
- Make a cheerful coloring or create a kind card.
- Drop it off or mail it to:
“Operation: Forget-Me-Not
1812 Timber Ridge Drive
Bowling Green, OH 43402”
- The cards will be collected, counted, and delivered to a senior care facility here in town.
- All 5 facilities in town have been contacted, and we know exactly how many residents are at each one.
- When enough cards have been collected for every person at a facility, they will be dropped off and we will begin collecting cards for residents at the next one.
- Updates will be posted all along the way, so you and your kids know the difference you are helping to make! ❤️

THE DETAILS:
Spreading joy and showing love to seniors in a way that is simple, achievable, and measurable.

If we, as a community, come together, I believe we could send each and every resident in a senior care facility in town a sweet coloring, drawing or card to let them know we are thinking of them!

If you would like to join in, have your child draw something sweet, colorful, joyful...
have them sign their name and put their age...
and mail it or drop it off to the designated collection bin at 1812 Timber Ridge Drive in Bowling Green.

Consider taking a photo of your child working on their coloring and post it on this group page!

I am going to find out how many residents live at each facility. I’d love to see if we could collect enough hand-made drawings to give one to every resident in town!

I will post updates along the way, letting you all know how close we are to reaching our goals, or when we are able to deliver the drawings. I also plan to include a vase of artificial flowers for the front desk of each facility as well.
