We'd like to congratulate one of our Warren County HANDS families, who recently graduated from the program. Here's what they had to say about their experience with HANDS 🌟

Mom stated the last two years in HANDS has flown by and she is very glad her and baby got to experience it. Mom enjoyed the toys and support she received from her HANDS workers, Tara and Brittany.

Our HANDS program loves seeing little ones achieve their developmental milestones and families empowered in caring for their children! This is just one of the many success stories from our program.

Naloxone (aka 'Narcan') can be the reason someone gets another day. 🫂

Narcan is a nasal spray that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose. If you think someone is experiencing an overdose, administering Narcan will not hurt them.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙

Over 14,000 child abuse and neglect cases were reported in Kentucky in 2024. If you're a caregiver or near to children, here's some ways you can help prevent child abuse.

Be a nurturing parent.
Help a friend, neighbor, or relative so they can rest.
Don’t take your anger/stress out on children.
Never shake a baby if they cry.
Get involved to help families be healthy.
Help develop parenting resources.
Reduce child’s consumption of violent media.
Report suspected abuse or neglect.

If you suspect child abuse or neglect near you, call (877) KY-SAFE1 (597-2331). If in an emergency, call 911.

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that is spread through direct contact with some bodily fluids of an HIV-positive person ❗

You can only get HIV by coming into direct contact with...
➡ Blood
➡ Semen
➡ Vaginal fluids
➡ Breast milk
➡ or Re**al fluids..from a person with detectable HIV.

This is why it's always important to know your HIV status by getting tested!
