🇺🇸A Tribute to James Waller. 🇺🇸Biancia Waller, a dedicated RA at CLMC, proudly remembers her grandfather, James Waller. Born in Clarksville, TN, James joined the military right after high school, serving honorably during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. His bravery earned him a Purple Heart, a testament to his courage and sacrifice.

Growing up with one brother and four sisters, family was always important to James. He became a Military vet dedicating his life to caring for animals and helping those in need.

Though James is no longer with us, his memory lives on in the hearts of his family. One cherished memory his children hold dear is how he taught them the art of making a perfect bed, a skill he mastered during his military days. This lesson reflects not only his discipline but also the love and dedication he instilled in his family.

James Waller will always be remembered for his service, his compassion, and the lasting impact he had on those around him. Thank you your service, James!

🇺🇸Honoring Richard Ford🇺🇸
Billie Williams, Executive Director at CLMC, shares a heartfelt story about her grandfather, Richard Wayne Ford, and his service in the Army. Born in Cortez, Colorado, on October 11, 1936, to Cloyd and Dona Mae Ford, he moved to Oklahoma at the age of six. His father was a farmer, and his mother was a stay-at-home mom. He had a twin sister, an older brother, and two sisters. Richard was drafted into the U.S. Army in September 1959, just two weeks after marrying his wife on September 5, 1959. Following basic training at Fort Riley, Kansas, he was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii, where he served in the Honor Guard and helped with funerals at Punch Bowl in Honolulu. His mother passed away in November 1960, and he received a hardship discharge to help his father with fall crops.

He was called back during the Berlin Crisis in October 1961 and was stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Richard was honorably discharged on August 31, 1965, holding the rank of SP 4. After his service, he earned a college degree from NSU in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, taught school for 28 years, and served as a pastor for Onapa Baptist Church for 52 years. Thank you for your service, Richard!

🇺🇸Honoring my time in the Military🇺🇸

Tiffany Wood, Sales Counselor for CLMC, shares a heartfelt story about her brother, Brandon, and his service in the Army. Tiffany recalls, “We were all so proud when my brother decided to join the Army. Although we knew times were uncertain when he was sent overseas post-9/11, we believed in his strength and knew he would do great things. During his two tours, we heard many stories—some uplifted us and gave us hope, while others filled us with emotion. When he returned, he chose to move into intelligence, where he spent the next four years serving as an advisor to Vice President Pence. Brandon’s service brought our family closer together, especially during his time in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our faith grew stronger because of his sacrifices.”

Thank you for your service, Brandon!
