It’s not about calories.

In our current society we’ve become wildly disconnected from the basics that keep us functioning like healthy humans.

Sunlight. Fresh air. Movement. Space to think.
Instead, we live inside, bounce between screens, and wonder why we feel anxious, stiff, and mentally fried.

A simple walk checks more boxes than most “optimized” routines:
– regulates your nervous system (flow state relieves anxiety)
– improves breathing without forcing it (nasal breathing)
– clears your head so you can actually solve problems (no more ruminating thoughts; instead, action)
– supports your metabolism without adding more stress
– gets you sunlight, nature, and a break from constant negative input

It’s simple. Not easy to prioritize, but simple.

Do it daily and you won’t just “burn calories.”
You’ll feel like yourself again.

If you don’t make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness.

Stress tolerance and stress reduction.

Both are essential. You can’t namaste your demons away. You also can’t just constantly fight your way through stressors day in and day out.

Build both sides with training and behaviors that benefit you.

Is this too aggressive? 🤔

Pain is rarely from a flexibility issue alone.
Almost always a weakness that results in the body displacing tension over time until the body can’t compensate anymore.

Lazy practitioners just look at the database of stretches and collect your insurance. $400 for crappy care seems pretty steep to me.

What’s more dangerous, learning to deadlift or letting your muscles atrophy, sitting 10 hours a day, letting your blood vessels fill with cholesterol, losing your identity, zeroing your stress tolerance, and becoming easier to kill?

When it comes to pain and dysfunction, the sedentary camp takes the cake. Disc herniations, carpal tunnel, poor sleep, poor body comp, joint problems, low back pain, catastrophic falls, chronic stress, and disease are more prevalent in people who refuse to train.
