We invite you to join us for our upcoming book club! Our next meeting is coming up on October 14th at the NAMI Wood County office. We will be reading Daring Greatly by Brené Brown.

Brown explains how vulnerability is both the core of difficult emotions like fear, grief, and disappointment, and the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, empathy, innovation, and creativity. She writes: “When we shut ourselves off from vulnerability, we distance ourselves from the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives.”

Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.

Together, we create a community that celebrates each person's identity while supporting mental wellness.
