Today we said goodbye to our administrator, Darla, as she moves on to her next chapter.. and there really aren’t enough words to capture what that means.
Darla wasn’t just a leader; she was the steady presence in the middle of chaos, the calm voice when things felt overwhelming, and the person who reminded us why we do what we do on the hardest days. She poured her heart into this building, into our team, and most importantly, into every resident who called this place home.
She led with compassion, strength, and a kind of authenticity that can’t be taught. You always knew where you stood with Darla, but you also always knew she cared. She believed in people, even when they didn’t yet believe in themselves, and that kind of impact doesn’t fade when someone walks out the door.
Today isn’t just a goodbye.. it’s a thank you. Thank you for the lessons, the laughter, the tough love, and the unwavering dedication. Thank you for leaving this place better than you found it.
Darla, you will be deeply missed, but we’re so excited to see all the great things you do next. 💙
