“43 days in antepartum. 24 days in the NICU. A lifetime of gratitude.” 💙

At just 28 weeks pregnant with twins, Katie was admitted to Norton Women & Children’s with preeclampsia. What followed was a 6-week stay in the antepartum unit and the birth of Caroline and Chandler at 34 weeks—followed by 24 days in the NICU.

While it wasn’t the journey she and her husband expected, the care team became like family. From compassionate nurses and housekeepers who brought comfort and baby gifts, to NICU doctors and nurses who loved their preemies like their own—every moment was met with kindness.

Discharge was bittersweet, but the bonds formed remain strong. Nurses visited the family at home, and NICU staff even attended the babies’ baptism.

They never imagined such a challenging time would lead to lifelong friendships and unforgettable care.

What a night for Zeek! ⚽️ 💜 As our Super Kid with Louisville City FC during Norton Children’s Night, Zeek shined bright.

He kicked off the match with the coin toss, signed autographs like a pro, and got a surprise visit from his care team at the Norton Children’s Neuroscience Institute!

His strength and joy lit up the stadium. We’re so proud to celebrate his journey and the care that helped him get here.

Go Zeek! We’re all rooting for you!
