A big thank you to our incredible Nursing Department for hosting a wonderful Employee Appreciation Time (EATs) celebration for Valentine’s Day. The treats, decorations, and thoughtful touches made the day extra special — and reminded us how lucky we are to work alongside such a compassionate, hardworking team.

At Wood Haven, we know that when we take time to appreciate our staff, we strengthen the heart of our community. Your dedication to our residents does not go unnoticed — not just today, but every day.

🧑‍🎨Creativity was in full color as our residents spent the day painting beautiful sunset hot air balloon scenes!
Each person added their own unique style and personal touches, making every canvas one of a kind. With warm colors, relaxing music, and plenty of laughs along the way, it was a wonderful time spent expressing creativity and enjoying the simple joy of painting together 🎨 🎈

There is nothing better than a warm bowl of homemade soup on a February day 😋 Our residents came together to make a delicious batch of minestrone soup, sharing laughs, stories, and plenty of teamwork along the way. From chopping and stirring to finally enjoying a bowl together, it was the perfect way to spend time with one another and enjoy a cozy taste of the season!

💕❤️ Love was in the air at our Wood Haven Valentine’s celebration! With festive red and pink all around, residents enjoyed sweet cookies, fun mocktails, games, and plenty of laughter shared with friends. The room was filled with bright colors, smiling faces, and joyful moments that made the day feel extra special!

We’re feeling the love at Wood Haven! ❤️🐾

A big THANK YOU to Dunn’s Kiddie Kare for coming to visit and spreading so much Valentine’s Day cheer! The kids had a blast making adorable Valentine’s crafts with our residents — glitter, glue, giggles, and all! 💌✂️

And of course, the highlight of the day… sweet Cooper, our therapy-side sidekick, was soaking up all the extra love and handing out plenty of doggie kisses! 🐶💋 He may have enjoyed the attention just a little bit!

Moments like these — bringing generations together — are what make Wood Haven so special. 💕

⭐ Rehab Resident of the Week ⭐

This week we are proud to recognize one of our outstanding rehab participants for his dedication and hard work!

He consistently arrives to therapy with determination and a positive mindset. His commitment to improving strength, balance, and independence has led to meaningful progress each week. No matter the challenge, he gives his best effort and continues to push toward his goals.

His perseverance and great attitude inspire both our therapy team and fellow residents. We are so proud of the progress he has made!

Snickerdoodles were on the menu 🍪
Our residents enjoyed baking together—measuring, mixing, rolling dough in cinnamon sugar, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. It’s always about more than the cookies; it’s the conversation, teamwork, and memories made in the kitchen.

And yes… they passed the taste test 😊

Sometimes you come to volunteer and accidentally schedule a nap!
This unexpected moment between one of our amazing volunteers and lovely resident had us all smiling. The “Spa-jama” part seemed to be successful ☺️ When you feel comfortable enough to fall asleep next to someone, you know you’re in good company ❤️
