⚠️MOWING⚠️ Lawns are dry and heat stressed. While the grass may not need mowing, if the weeds are tall, especially the summer grassy weeds, please mow the tall areas/weeds before they seed out. If allowed to grow to seed head, you will have even more weeds next year.

Keep an eye out 👀...for army worm damage. If your lawn, seemingly overnight, has a large brown/dead area, you may have army worms. The easiest way to check is to pour soapy water on the border of brown/green grass and the worms will come up to the top of the grass. The area of activity and around can be treated with an insecticide to stop further damage from the worms. Feel to call the office with questions 270-846-1130.

Temperatures ☀️ are rising❗️ It is time to start watering your lawn. ✅If you have an irrigation system, make sure it is set to run on a regular schedule: 2 -3 days/week.
✅If you do not have irrigation, watering for a long period of time per area of your lawn, one day per week is the goal.
✅Early morning is the best time to water.
✅Do not wait for your grass to turn brown to start watering. Waiting can result in grass loss.
✅Deep root watering is the goal.
✅Grass needs a minimum of an inch of water per week. Use a wide mouth can, marked at an inch, to time how long your sprinkler needs to put out an inch of water.

It's time to start watering newly seeded lawns. If your lawn was seeded in the fall or spring, start watering weekly to support the young grass as temperatures increase.
