Your child can receive private therapy services even if they have an IEP!

With a new school year now in full swing for many surrounding areas, I wanted to take a moment to make families aware of what's possible for your child when it comes to speech/language therapy. Even if your child has an IEP at school, they can still receive private speech/language therapy services; school-based services are all about educational impact, while private services have the freedom to focus more on functional impact! Private services are also a GREAT option for families who have been told their child doesn't meet the criteria to receive services at school, but you know he/she still needs support!

Happy first day of July!!

In the spirit of a new month, I thought it would be fun to reintroduce myself with a little "about me" segment. All the (random) things you didn't know you needed to know about the owner!

Let's talk teletherapy! 💻🗣

Did you know that I was a teletherapist for one of the largest school districts in Oklahoma for 4.5 years? And before that I dabbled in teletherapy during Covid times while working for an elementary school in Kentucky. I was even part of a grant at UK during grad school that helped me become more proficient in this new-age type of service delivery. It's truly my passion and I'm determined to help more families understand its credibility and usefulness.
