LEVERAGING AI TO ENHANCE SLP OUTCOMES
Presented by Mehreen Kakwan, M.A., CCC-SLP

The presentation explores current and future AI applications in clinical and school settings, including a demo of prompt engineering with tools like ChatGPT or Perplexity to optimize clinical outputs. We’ll examine how to leverage these tools responsibly and maintain human oversight while harnessing AI’s potential to support (not supplant) the role of a highly trained SLP.

Some of our graduate student clinicians and clinical instructors participated in the Better Health, Better You Wellness Fair held today at the Wood County Committee on Aging.

Students Danielle Blatnik, Jessica Stewart, Lily Baker, & Olivia Christie along with CIs Kayla Obenour & Christina Bergman provided hearing screenings and prevention education on cognition, voice, swallowing and speech/language to participants.
