Executive Director/Instructor Marjorie Youngs, M.Ed., Special Education, is a PATH certified advanced instructor and Mentor with more than 30 years of experience in the therapeutic riding industry. BRCTH employs three additional certified Instructors who teach on weekdays and on Saturdays. BRCTH currently has more than twenty-five active lesson volunteers who participate in hands on equine activities with our students. We are also supported by volunteers who participate in administrative, fundraising, and community awareness programs. BRCTH funds its operations through individual and corporate in-kind and monetary donations, civic and foundation grants, fundraising events and student tuition.

Do you enjoy being around horses, making new friends and helping children and adults experience joy? Well then, do I have an opportunity for you! Join us on Monday, April 20th for our Volunteer Orientation at Cedarwood Farm in White Post, VA!

BRCTH invites enthusiastic and caring individuals to become lesson volunteers for our 6-week spring session which begins May 2nd. Must be at least 14 years of age. Equine experience required for the position of horse leader, and is preferred, but not required for side-walkers. Trainees attend Orientation at 6:00 pm on Monday, April 20th, and then one of several hands-on training sessions offered the following weeks at Cedarwood Farm, 375 Cedarwood Lane in White Post, VA. The search continues!!! Spring is almost upon us, and we are keeping faith that we will soon be offering Therapeutic Riding and Equine Assisted Learning services again. Our students and clients are itching to be learning and healing again with the help of our horses, volunteers and instructors. And we're getting inquiries every week re: registering for services.

Spring is almost upon us, and we are keeping faith that we will soon be offering Therapeutic Riding and Equine Assisted Learning services again. The snow has finally melted, and spring is not far off. We are asking for your help so we can continue to provide much-needed, therapeutic services this spring and beyond. We are the only center providing both mounted and unmounted Equine Assisted Services in the northern Shenandoah Valley of VA. Our students, instructors and volunteers are chomping at the bit. Please keep your eyes and ears open for a facility, preferably private, that will fulfill most if not all of the needs listed below. Please continue to share on and off Facebook.
