We are excited to share something special happening in New Orleans this week — St. Mary’s Restaurant is celebrating its GRAND OPENING!

The restaurant is independently owned, but the owners chose St. Mary’s as their nonprofit beneficiary. 15% of their proceeds will support the children and young adults who call our community home, and we love that their commitment to St. Mary’s is something they carry into their work every day.

If you’re in the area, this is a great time to make a reservation, stop by for a meal, or even keep them in mind for catering your holiday gatherings. Every bite supports the mission you care about.

Derek picked an entire bag of pecans for his family’s Thanksgiving pies — and he’s so proud of it! He gathered them from St. Mary’s very own pecan orchard at the back of campus, planted decades ago by the nuns who helped shape this community. Moments like this show exactly what St. Mary’s is all about: care, connection, and families supporting one another. ❤️🌳

At St. Mary’s, our ABA Learning Center provides a truly transformative environment for young people with autism — right here on our campus. Using personalized, evidence-based therapy, our team of trained behavior analysts and support staff help each participant strengthen communication, social skills, and daily living abilities. Every plan is tailored to meet individual developmental needs, fostering real progress and independence.

Because our ABA Center is located within St. Mary’s community, residents receive seamless, 24/7 support — ensuring that what’s learned in therapy continues at home, creating lasting, positive change. 🌟

At St. Mary’s, every voice matters — especially those of our residents! Recently, we hosted a series of interactive workshops where residents shared their ideas and helped design their ideal community. Together, we reimagined our older dorms with exciting updates and thoughtful improvements that reflect what home means to them.

We’re so proud of the creativity, collaboration, and heart our residents brought to this project!

At St. Mary’s, our Day Habilitation Program empowers residents with intellectual disabilities to build confidence, develop life skills, and experience a strong sense of community. Through a person-centered approach, each participant enjoys activities tailored to their unique goals — from arts and crafts and cooking classes to fitness sessions and community outings.

Celebrating Smart Savings and Brighter Futures! St. Mary’s recently partnered with Red River Bank to launch a staff Savings Match Program, encouraging financial wellness and long-term stability for our team members. Through this initiative, participants received a dollar-for-dollar match of up to $500 — and we celebrated their success with a special graduation ceremony at Brocato’s!
