FOX Optimal Living Update!!

September was an action-packed month here at Chestnut Knoll with our FOX Optimal Living Program! In honor of the NFL season starting, we played a little football throwing competition with the residents! The residents threw footballs into different baskets with varying point values. Residents on the sideline got to cheer on their friends! Other fun activities included table hockey and balloon volleyball.

The highlight of the month was our Championship Balloon Volleyball Game against the local senior center! The excitement was through the roof as both teams gave it their all. Unfortunately, we did not end up winning, but we definitely gave them a run for their money. A big shout out to the Center at Spring Street for the friendly competition! Don't worry, we will be practicing and will be bringing home the trophy next year.

In September, we had 42 resident care conferences. These conversations are an essential part of our collaboration with families, ensuring shared understanding of each resident’s needs and goals. They help us continue to provide the highest level of individualized care and support.

As we move into October, we’re keeping the momentum going with volleyball, table hockey and "Whack-a-Witch". Stay tuned to see what our group Halloween costume is for our FOX clinicians at CK!
