Time spent with family is time well worth it. Life is short, make the effort to spend time with those you love. We had a blast with the Canadian Wright family. It was great hearing Kevin and his brother Darren’s stories. To watch them laugh, see my nieces new house, meet her new man (yes aunt Karen had to make sure he is worthy hehe), hear my sister-in-laws stories, was wonderful for the heart .

Christmas joy isn’t only found in the “big moments.” It’s hiding in the tiny ones… like that first sip of coffee topped with peppermint mocha cold foam (aka holiday confetti for your nervous system).

This season gets loud fast. So here’s your permission slip to celebrate small: the warm mug in your hands, the twinkle lights you notice for 3 seconds, the song that makes you smile in the grocery aisle. Those little joys? They’re not “extra.” They’re medicine.

Today, take one mini Pause. Breathe. Let your shoulders drop. And proceed like joy is allowed to be simple.

“Silent Night, Holy Night” wasn’t written about a frantic mind and a chaotic life. 

There’s a reason the story of Christmas keeps circling back to stillness. Because peace isn’t something you “find” in a perfect schedule… it’s something you practice in the middle of real life.

Tonight (or right now), try this:
Pause. Breathe. Proceed.
Not as a cute slogan, a nervous system reset.

When you quiet down and go within, you start hearing what’s true again… about you, about others, about God. And suddenly, you’re not reacting to life, you’re choosing how you show up.

Because honestly? The world has enough noise. Let’s be the people who bring the holy hush.

Just a little reminder… you are good enough exactly as you are.
And if someone’s treating you like you’re “too much,” “not enough,” or “an option”… that’s not feedback. That’s a red flag with a bad attitude.

Respect is the bare minimum.
If they can’t meet it? Cool. You’re too good for them anyway. 😉

They hit your heart rate, your hormones, your digestion.

Think of it this way:
• Scary thought → body tightens
• Self-attacking thought → nervous system goes on alert
• Kind, grounded thought → body gets a tiny green light to relax

Our Freedom tools (like the Freedom Box) are really just physical reminders to
• notice the thought
• pause
• breathe
• choose one that doesn’t bully you

For the next 7 days
pick ONE everyday moment to pause before you react.
• The text that annoys you
• The email that pokes your anxiety
• The kid/partner/co-worker that hits your last nerve

In that moment:
1. Notice what’s happening in your body
2. Take one slow breath
3. Don’t react, respond (or don’t)

At the end of the day, ask yourself:
“Did that pause change anything?”

Drop a comment each day with:
DAY 1 / 2 / 3… and one word: how it went.

We’re practicing this together. Nobody’s perfect at it.
