Welcome to 2026!
We started this year off servicing multiple families in senior living facilities, but one client in particular stuck out to us. The client called in the afternoon, voice trembling… her husband, recently moved into memory care, needed a bed removed asap for the delivery of a hospital bed. Donation centers were booked weeks out.
We responded & booked same day. While there, she was in a tough spot seeing her husband in his current condition. We worked efficiently and quickly to get out of their hair as fast as possible. She hoped it would be donated and we assured her we would try (which it all did- to a local church community).
Situations like this are very common in our line of work. Senior living facilities are one of our main sources- often removing beds for hospital bed replacements, downsizing the leftover items after transitioning from assisted to memory care, or clearing out the apartment after a passing.
