Arch to Freedom

Arch to Freedom We have locations in Delray Beach and Boynton Beach, Florida. We look at the individual, then work together to set and achieve positive goals.

Arch to Freedom is a structured therapuetic community utlilizing clinician supervised case management, peer-based recovery support, spirituality, and experiential- community building events. Arch to Freedom is a structured sober living rooted in the 12 Step approach to recovery as we help our clients to create a new and healthy fellowship. The development of life skills like budgeting, resume building, job placement, physical activity and personal integrity are also extremely important. We are here to help teach and hold our clients accountable to the recovery process while integrating these necessary life skills. At Arch to Freedom, we have an abundant and supportive community that will challenge and help our clients to become healthier and productive people. It is our mission that our clients have a challenging, nurturing and fun experience. Our mission is to promote the well-being of men in recovery from alcohol, drugs and other related behaviors by providing a safe, structured, independent sober living environment utilizing a service system that emphasizes trust, respect, confidentiality and compassion. Our focus is to provide comfortable, quality living in surroundings conducive to abstinence, recovery and personal growth. Our goal is to create and maintain a sober atmosphere that supports confidence, self-worth and the motivation necessary for a healthy return to conventional living and mainstream society. While residing in a structured environment, house members are encouraged to build essential skills for reintegration into society and productive living.

Who needs horsepower under the hood when you can have it under the saddle? Our residents traded sneakers for saddles and hit the trails last weekend for a day of horseback riding adventure. Saddle sores? Maybe. Unforgettable memories? Definitely.

Meet Rob– Client Care Coordinator (a.k.a. The Guy Who Went from Guest to Running the Place)

Rob showed up at Arch to Freedom as a guest… and just never left. He went from resident → house manager → recovery advocate → Client Care Coordinator faster than you can say “career upgrade.” At this point, we’re not sure if he works here because he loves it, or if it’s just the world’s longest house arrest.

Before Arch, Rob spent over a decade working with animals—owning a boarding kennel, caring for pets, and proving he can handle creatures big and small (which turned out to be great training for working with humans in recovery). He’s also studied culinary arts and IT, because why not rack up a résumé that looks like three different people’s lives? He’s also actively working toward becoming a social worker specializing in Substance Use Disorder—since apparently helping to run this place isn’t enough of a challenge.

Rob’s been on both sides of the recovery journey, and his own story is proof that change is possible. Now, as Client Care Coordinator, he’s here serving God, helping others, and keeping the place running—while occasionally wondering how he got promoted from “checking in” to “in charge.”

Recovery builds more than sobriety, it builds brotherhood. Huge thanks to everyone who came out for our Drive Shack adventure this week. Laughter, competition, connection.

Meet Joe Prete – Logistics/Operations Coordinator (a.k.a. Arch’s Resident Drill Sergeant)

Born in Norristown, PA, Joe’s life has basically been one long boot camp: football, wrestling, Boy Scouts, and then straight into the Army at 18. He spent nearly a decade leading infantry squads through Iraq and Afghanistan, then leveled up to Washington, D.C., where he took part in thousands of funerals at Arlington National Cemetery and Pentagon ceremonies—including President Obama’s second inauguration. Translation: if precision, discipline, and keeping your cool under pressure were Olympic sports, Joe would have more medals than Michael Phelps.

After the Army, Joe fought a tougher battle—his struggle with alcoholism—and came out on top. Sober since 2018, he’s now on the front lines of the recovery world, helping others fight for their own fresh start.

At Arch to Freedom, Joe is the guy who makes sure the mission gets done: operations, logistics, maintenance, supplies… if it needs doing, he’s already ten steps ahead. If you’ve ever wondered how Arch doesn’t descend into total chaos—it’s because Joe runs this place like a forward operating base (minus the camo, plus a lot more coffee).

Recovery isn’t just staying clean. It’s showing up. It’s choosing discomfort. It’s reclaiming strength. Thank you Pete for supporting our guys in choosing growth and writing a different story than the one they were once told….one burpee at a time!

For those of you who haven’t met Dr. Christina Raphael yet, it’s time to share!

Dr. Raphael is the Director of Case Management here at Arch to Freedom and she comes with some serious credentials: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, AASECT Certified S*x Therapist, and Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy.

But what makes her truly extraordinary isn’t just her expertise or leadership. It’s her passion for building other leaders. Whether she’s offering supervision, leading study groups, or guiding clinical trainings, Dr. Raphael shows up with intention, heart, and a commitment to lifting others up.

Here at Arch to Freedom, she plays a key role not only in supervising and supporting our case management team but in shaping how we grow as professionals and as people. From trainings centered around intervention techniques to thoughtful conversations about burnout and staff self-care, Dr. Raphael brings a whole-person approach to the entire team, not just our clients.

And still, with everything she brings to the field, if you ask her what quality she loves most about herself, she’ll tell you it’s being a mother.

We’re honored to have her as part of the Arch to Freedom family.

With immense gratitude and admiration, we say thank you to Alishia Timmons LCSW-A, LCAS-A, our Director of Case Management Services.

Over the past three years, Alishia has poured her heart into building a program that now serves as the backbone of Arch to Freedom. She created the structure, the systems, and the soul of our case management department—developing policies and procedures, shaping a person-centered model of care, and setting a new standard for how we support our clients.

Alishia built the Program, and the team. A team rooted in compassion, professionalism, and deep respect for each individual’s journey. Her impact will live on in every guest we serve and every case manager she mentored.

As she embarks on her next adventure as a therapist, we send her off with our deepest appreciation and unwavering support. Your legacy here is lasting, Alishia, and Arch, our families, and our guests, current and future, are forever grateful.

❤️ With love from all of us at Arch to Freedom
