This is the real costume many women, and some men, wear everyday! They try their hardest to be everything to everyone and put themselves on the back burner. This can lead to burnout, depression, anxiety, resentment towards others. Please learn to take care of yourself and put yourself on the front burner

Having love for a drug addict or an active alcoholic is the hardest thing you will ever do. Watching someone you love, who has fought so hard to beat addiction, throw everything away and sink back into a life that will most likely lead to jail or death, is one of the hardest things you will ever do. All you wanted was to help them back to a clean and sober life but you realize by doing this, as you have before, will now just be enabling them because it will show them that you will always be there to bail them out. You want to grab and shake them and say "What are you doing?!?!" But, at some point you realize that it wouldn't make a difference. So you sit back and watch the tragedy unfold, as if you are watching a movie. Feeling helpless to stop it, feeling like you haven't done enough to help, even though you know only the addict can help themselves. Having to disconnect yourself from them to save yourself from plunging into the abyss with them. It’s one of the hardest things you will ever experience. You love them from afar and keep praying that they will find their way. Battling a drug and/or an alcohol addiction is a beast for the person addicted and the ones who love them. So l am asking you to stand with me in prayer for every family member and friend who has lost or is losing their battle with drugs and alcohol and those who continue to conquer it!
September is National Recovery Month! Put this on your page for one hour if you know someone who has or had an addiction. Many will be hesitant to!!! Some of you won't, but I think I know the ones who will.

I love gardening. Many people say I have a green thumb. As a therapist working with clients I find myself doing similar work as in the garden: assessing the client(soil), adding to enrich them with knowledge (fertilizer), and presenting ideas, solutions or advice (planting seeds). Making changes require work like a garden needs sunlight, water, and weeding. The effort is worth it! 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🙋‍♀️

Being faithful in a relationship isn't just about staying out of
someone else's bed.

It's way deeper than that.
It's the texts you don't send, the flirty conversations you don't entertain, and the decisions you make when no one's watching. Being faithful isn't just about avoiding the act of cheating. It's about consciously removing yourself from any situation that could
potentially blur the lines. It's about not seeking validation or attention from anyone outside the relationship. It's about not having anything on your phone that you wouldn't want your partner to see. Being truly faithful is not just about physical monogamy. It's about
emotional integrity.
