I’m never in shoes. I work out barefoot. I do yard work barefoot 🤷‍♀️. It’s not a conscious decision. I do it because I like feeling all those little muscles in my feet do what their supposed to do! Given, some people have more serious medical issues and require special shoes, orthotics, prosthetics, etc. but I’m talking about the rest of us. Spend some time out of your shoes when you get home. If you use orthotics it should be short term. When you go to buy a shoe, you need to be able to feel it, test it, walk in it. And lastly, your gait cycle can be thrown off by movement issues from anywhere in your body, even by a lack of head and neck movement! So start moving and improving your flexibility. All these things are great steps toward healthier feet.
