As of today, the federally supported website that the President announced a few weeks ago to make it easier for individuals to access COVID-19 vaccines is now live! Vaccines.gov - powered by the trusted VaccineFinder brand - is available in English and Spanish, with high accessibility standard, and will help connect Americans with locations offering vaccines near them. In addition to the website, people in the U.S. are also now able to utilize a text messaging service, available in both English and Spanish. People can text their ZIP code to 438829 (GETVAX) and 822862 (VACUNA) to find three locations nearby that have vaccines available.

Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine has received emergency use authorization (EIA) for patients 16 years and older. They have recently begun clinical trials of their COVID-19 vaccine for patients 12 to 15 years old. Enrolled patients will receive either the vaccine or the placebo (sterile salt water), and all participants receive financial compensation for their visits and travel expenses. In light of the recent pandemic we have received inquiries regarding maintaining routine Well Checks and Vaccinations. As always we recommend keeping your child’s well check and vaccinations up to date in accordance with AAP recommendations and vaccination schedule. During the pandemic we have altered our practice’s policies and procedures to help our efforts as we work together to decrease the spread & limit the exposure of COVID-19. From 8am to 11am we offer well checks. During this time, we do NOT allow any sick patients and or parents/ guardians into the office. After a phone triage, well patients are greeted at the door by a Medical Assistant who performs a verbal triage of symptoms and performs a temperature check on patient(s) and or parent/ guardian then escorted to their room.

Parents and patients, we will be implementing telehealth visits for appropriate conditions and concerns in hopes of decreasing the exposure and spread of COVID-19.
