Is it safe to use an AED on a pregnant woman?

Yes! It can save two lives.

If a pregnant woman goes into cardiac arrest, using an AED immediately is safe and recommended. Defibrillation helps restore a normal heart rhythm and improves survival for both the mother and the baby.

In an emergency, do not hesitate. Start CPR, use the AED, and follow the device prompts until help arrives.
