This 31-year-old patient came to us with concerns of issues with animation deformity during yoga, and she also wanted more upper pole breast fullness and cleavage. She previously had 605 cc ultra high profile implants. Her goal was to go over the muscle, have more cleavage, and a fuller upper pole. She didn't want a significant increase or decrease in size. Together, we decided on a breast implant exchange and a plane change from under to over the muscle (sub-fascial). We selected 590 cc Mentor Boost silicone implants. At 6 weeks post-op, she could not be happier. The discomfort from being under the muscle has improved and she's happy with a fuller upper pole and cleavage.

It becomes an issue if you don't like the way it looks or feels. This is rare, and termed animation deformity.
