Today was office move-in day for Ande Anderson, my new supervisee. She's right across the hall from me. I'm not sure who was more excited, her or me! Welcome Ande!

She's taking appointments with a relatively open schedule.

Great news! Family Counseling Center of MT is growing! Please join me in welcoming Andrea "Ande" Anderson, a pre-licensed clinical social worker who graduated with her Master's in Social Work in December, 2024 from University of MT, Missoula. Ande will accumulate practice hours in counseling as well as gaining supervision and training at our office in 4 Corners.

While Ande has vast life experience, she has gained professional experience in her work at the Help Center and Compassus Hospice in Bozeman. Ande has particular interest in working with people experiencing trauma, family dynamics, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and acute crisis. She looks forward to counseling children (age 5 and up), adolescents, adults, families, couples, and military personnel.

Ande can see clients insured with BCBS, Pacific Source, VA, and (likely) Mountain Health Co-op. She also will accept sliding scale clients as low as $50/session.

It's been 5 months (wow!) since I hung my therapist shingle and opened my door for business. I've learned more than I thought I ever could in private practice about being a therapist, about the needs in my community, and about myself. Cheers!

FCCMT has been open full-time for one month. I am surprised, blessed, and humbled by the number of referrals and inquiries. I am "full" by my initial goal, but still have a few "overflow" slots available.
