Error augmentation is a motor‑learning strategy where you intentionally amplify a movement error so the nervous system has to correct it back to baseline.📚

Let’s be clear, the patient will still circumduct while you apply this technique. Initially, the band will pull them even harder into circumduction and their brain will tell them go back to “normal” - activating the muscles that drive them back to their neutral💪🏼

The real magic happens when the band is removed and the patient suddenly doesn’t circumduct anymore. That’s because the brain still thinks that band is attached and is still firing those anti-circumduct muscles. Compare it to how you still feel like you’re spinning even when the merry-go-round stops.😵💫

The effect is temporary, atleast initially. But the more we use this technique, the more consistent the effect.🔥
