After a long Montana winter, it’s tempting to jump headfirst into hiking, biking, running, golf, and weekend adventures—but doing too much, too soon is one of the fastest ways to end up injured early in the season.

A few simple ways to help prevent injuries this summer:

• Ease back into activity gradually
• Warm up before workouts and outdoor recreation
• Give your body time to recover between intense activities
• Don’t ignore soreness or small aches before they become bigger problems
