Alpine Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is excited to announce that Dr. Dean Sukin will be joining our practice in October 2024.
Dr. Sukin earned his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences at the Chicago Medical School. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. He underwent his surgical
internship and orthopedic residency at the University of Utah Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction Total Joints and Osteotomies at the University of
California San Diego.
Specializing in total knee replacements, anterior total hip replacements, partial knee replacements, revisions of knee and hip replacements, as well as joint preservation surgery, Dr. Sukin utilizes advanced techniques that enable many of these procedures
to be conducted as outpatient surgeries at The Orthopedic Surgical Center of Montana.
Dr. Sukin has trained surgeons around the country in both anterior hip replacements and Kinematic Alignment Total Knee Arthroplasty. Kinematic Alignment is a technique is an innovative technique that improves placement of implants resulting in better, more
consistent outcomes for patients. Dr. Sukin has now added the advanced technique of Augmented Reality(AR). This technique has the potential to continue to advance the placement of the implants and restore the biomechanics of the knee.
He holds privileges and performs surgeries at several facilities, including The Orthopedic Surgical Center of Montana, Bozeman Health, Billings Clinic – Bozeman, and Livingston Healthcare.
Having been in Montana for several years, Dr. Sukin moved to Bozeman with the expansion of the Billings Clinic when their new location opened. He and his wife, Lisa Hecht Sukin, PharmD, have enjoyed two fulfilling years as part of the Bozeman community. Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Sukin loves spending time with his family and indulging in activities such as snow skiing, water skiing, surfing, fly fishing, mountain biking, and both upland bird and big game hunting.
