What does it mean?  
 
➡️ To be proud of the things we achieve.  
 
➡️ To be happy for others when they achieve.  
 
➡️ To know: some are better than me at certain things, and I’m happy for them.  
 
➡️ To know: I’m better than others at certain things, and I’m happy for myself.  
 
How do you instill this type of balance and perspective in your children?  
 
Try saying things like:  
 
✅ “Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. I know it doesn’t feel good to lose… do you remember the last time you won? Yeah, it felt good… Do you think you will win again? Yes, I do too.”  
 
✅ “We are never the best at everything. No one is. But, we are good at some things. What are you good at? What are you not so good at? Can you get better? Yes, with practice :)”
 
✅ “Everyone makes mistakes. Even me… even your teacher… even…  
And when we make a mistake we can tell ourselves: it doesn’t feel so good… but I also know that I’m ok and I can try again.”
