I’m currently working on getting certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), which is a type of CBT designed specifically for treating PTSD and trauma-related issues. If you—or someone you know—are wanting to work through trauma in a practical, effective way, I’d love to connect. I really believe our past experiences shape so much of how we move through the world, and there’s a lot we can learn (and heal) from them. I’m super passionate about helping people work through PTSD and really excited to be stepping into this specialty.

I adore this and believe it is the true essence of therapy. Do you agree?

Mental illness is not an excuse to act in certain ways or something that should be looked down upon or ignored. Instead, it is a sign of needing help, understanding, and acceptance. It is not always being in control for those who suffer from mental disorders and having to deal with the aftermath. It is always a work in progress, never perfect, and can be both positive and negative. Above all it is REAL. This is a great breakdown as a reminder for all of us. Remember that you would never blame someone from suffering from the flu as it is out of their control, so too is mental illness.

If you or anyone you know is seeking help from dealing with a mental illness please let them know I'd be happy to help.

My office is a work in progress. Trying to add a little personal touch. But so far I am loving how warm and inviting it is with natural light and the original brick walls from this old downtown Bozeman building.

There is no shame in starting again.

Trust the process even if it wasn’t what you originally expected.
