Keep your heart healthy doing these 3 steps:
1- Get Moving and Grooving: Exercise is Your New Favorite Jam: Your heart is a muscle, and like any muscle, it needs a good workout. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity each week. Think of it as your favorite playlist that's just the right length.
2- Chow Down the Right Chow: Heart-Healthy Eating: Next up on our hit list: Food. What you eat can make a big difference to your heart health. Get with the program and ditch the processed foods, sugar, and sodium. Instead, get down and dirty with more fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
3- Cool It on the Smoke and Booze: Moderation is Key: Smoking's a one-way ticket to Heartbreak Hotel, and binge drinking isn't doing your heart any favors either. Consider cutting back or, better yet, quitting altogether.
