Some full circle moments in my medical teaching and mentoring. Tanner started his first clinical rotation in 3rd year with me. Now finishing up his last two months of med school, ambulatory medicine rotation, moving onto his first choice for a residency in Emergency Medicine at Baycare in Tampa. Proud of him!
Christian, some of you know who this young man is. He has been one of my best medical assistants. I took him on as grad student at USF, trained from the start. Now he is finishing up his first year of medical school at UCF. So proud of him!
Doctor’s Day was on March 30th - the calling to be a physician is a total commitment. The average medical student has 3000 to 4000 hours of clinical training by graduation. And 12000 to 15000 hours in residency. Training matters, give your doc a word of thanks when you see them next 😎🌟.

Feeling blessed by the great patients I get to take care of. Their prayers, trust and even cool tokens of their appreciation like this one, a 3D printed figure of the Lord Jesus are what reminds me of why I chose Family Medicine. May the Lord bless and keep you this Christmas season. 🎄❤️

Taken from a fellow colleague - Medicare is cutting physician reimbursement by another 2.9% come January 2025. Physician compensation is the blue bottom line since 1990. Compare this to admin costs, NP/PA costs and nursing costs. A picture is worth a thousand words.

What’s on my plate for lunch??
Kale/Cabbage - High in Vitamin C and K, prebiotics, fiber and sulphorane for fighting cancer.
Almonds and Walnuts, Pumpkin seeds - reduces your LDL the bad cholesterol, improves your Triglycerides (the sugary fat), raises your HDL( the good cholesterol ) and reduces inflammation.
Cranberries and Dried Mangoes - because they taste good, also high in Vit C 😄.
