Dear Residency Candidate:

Thank you for your interest in the Graduate Medical Education Programs at Blake Medical Center. We are ACGME accredited for:

Internal Medicine Residency – 45 positions

Transitional Year Residency – 13 positions

We begin taking applications via ERAS when the season opens and stop reviewing applications in late January. We conduct interviews between late October and late January.

Our most successful residency applicants will possess the following criteria:

1. USMLE I and II score above 220 and USMLE and/or COMLEX scores I and II above 500 with no more than one failure on all collective scores. It is preferred that both steps I and II be completed with scores available prior to interview.

2. Medical school graduation date within the last 2 years, with the exception of military or government service obligations. US clinical experience filling post-graduation gaps is preferred.

3. Never released from another program on the grounds of poor academic performance or professional disciplinary circumstances.

4. J-1 Visas will be considered, however we cannot sponsor H1-B Visas.
