Hey everyone! National Drug Take Back Day is quickly approaching this Saturday, April 26th!

Join SNPhA and Walgreens in volunteering for National Drug Take Back day this Saturday afternoon!

Give back to your local community and join many other pharmacists and pharmacy students around the world on National Drug Take Back Day by helping to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm EST (can stay for as little or as long as your schedule allows)

Even if you are not in Florida, please let us know if you are planning to volunteer this Saturday for Drug Take Back Day in your local community below! We would love to see how everyone is giving back to their community and acknowledge your service!

October 15 is National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD). NLAAD was first observed in 2003 by the Hispanic Federation and the Latino Commission on AIDS (LCOA). NLAAD is an opportunity to help address the disproportionate impact of HIV in Hispanic/Latinx communities, promote HIV testing, and stop HIV stigma.

This year, the LCOA hosted a NLAAD webinar series. The recordings are posted on the NLAAD website. You can watch them here: https://nlaad.org/webinars/ (link also in our bio!)

Deadline to sign up to get a mentor is TODAY, Wednesday, October 9th!

The Pharmacist-Student Mentorship Program (PSMP) is a longitudinal experience in which pharmacy students are provided with real-world training opportunities to sharpen their skills as future pharmacy professionals. During this process, students (mentees) will be paired with an experienced pharmacist (mentors) that will provide guidance, advisory feedback, and expert opinion covering an array of topics regarding the practice of pharmacy. TODAY, Tuesday October 1st, begins SNPhA’s Fellowship and Non-Traditional Career Showcase Week!

Admission is FREE for SNPhA student members. The Fellowship and Non-Traditional Showcase Week will feature exposure to Industry Fellowships and Non-Traditional Pharmacy paths, such as Informatics, Managed Care, and Association Management.

The first session is TONIGHT at 7 PM EST | 6 PM CST | 4 PM PST “Connect the Dots: Mastering the Interview”featuring special guest speakers from The Pharma Collective. The Pharma Collective’s mission is to empower and connect pharmacy and advanced-degree students across the nation by providing a comprehensive platform offering unparalleled resources and tools for fostering successful careers in the pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology.

Are you ready for the Fall semester to take off? Make sure you have these 5 supplies in order to have a successful start to the school year! You will need: 1.) an iPad or notebooks to take thorough notes to study when it comes to exam time 2.) highlighters to color coat your notes and schedule and keep organized 3.) school bag to hold all of your books and belongings 4.) a planner to keep your busy schedule in check so you don’t miss classes or important meetings and deadlines 5.) flashcards to study on-the-go and 6.) BONUS TIP: build your academic support network by talking with your peers and professors and joining organizations (like SNPhA!) to maximize and take advantage of the opportunities and resources available to you in order to achieve your goals!
