This week, we're celebrating someone who has shaped everything Meadow Primary Care stands for — our founder, Meriem Richardson, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC.

Meriem has been a nurse for over a decade.

She started at the bedside in critical care. Worked with kids in some of the toughest pediatric environments. Spent years in urgent care and internal medicine as a nurse practitioner. She watched the cracks in the system widen every year.

Nursing taught her everything she knows about medicine. It also broke her heart in places she's still putting back together.

She eventually left traditional practice because the system wouldn't let her actually take care of people the way nursing taught her they deserved.

7-minute appointments.
Patients waiting hours just to be told to go home.
Burned-out colleagues leaving the profession entirely.

Meadow exists because Meriem wanted to practice the way nursing trained her to — with time, with attention, with the whole person in front of her, not a billing code.

So this week, while we celebrate nurses everywhere, here's a message for every nurse still in the trenches:
