At Celebrate Recovery we walk with you through the process of healing, giving you the tools to overcome and continue on to a more fulfilling life. We meet every Thursday evening at 6:30pm, at 17 Bowling Lane, Bradford, RI. Bring your hurts, habits and hang-ups with you, and get ready to start healing!

Hello everyone! We will be transitioning to Steps Groups starting next Thursday which will be closed groups using the Celebrate Recovery workbooks, therefore this ministry will no longer be open to the public. Unfortunately, we will not have enough people to continue our large group at this time as most of our attendees are joining the Steps groups. We are so thankful that we had a full year of blessings upon blessings and people have joined our church body and have joined us in other ministries because of it! We may open back up in the future, only God knows but for now we just want to thank you all for your support in this ministry! Blessings to you all:)

Co-dependency is when a person’s need for approval or validation from another person allows them to be controlled or manipulated, or a person who attempts to manipulate or control someone. They are willing to compromise their own values, choices, and behavior at the expense of their personal well-being.

Through a relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Higher Power, and by working through the 8 principles and the Christ-centered 12 steps, we can find freedom from our hurts, hang ups and habits.

There is a plan and a purpose for anger in our lives. Anger is one of our 10 basic God-given emotions and there are constructive ways to deal with and express anger. For many of us, anger is the primary way we choose to express emotions.

We must learn to recognize our unhealthy patterns of anger and the emotions and circumstances that push us to become destructively angry.

For us, anger is a “misdirection,” a hang-up that we have developed to mask hurt or fear. At it’s core, our anger is an intent to preserve our personal worth, essential needs, or basic convictions.

We may feel intense shame and guilt over the actions we have committed during our unhealthy expressions of anger. We vow never to act that way again, only to find ourselves back in the same situations, unable to change it by our own power.

Join us this evening as Jaime shares a testimony about making amends:). We are open every Thursday at 6:30pm! We will be starting steps groups in September as well, send us a message here if you are interested. The steps groups are where we go deeper into the healing by going through 4 workbooks in a group setting together. There will be a men’s group led by Dave and Scott and a women’s group led by Laura and Renee.
