Big conversations are happening in New York this month and Averte is proud to be part of it ✨

Averte is honored to share that our Global Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships Kristin Calderon will be moderating the upcoming New York Professional Liaison Association panel discussion, “Getting to YES!”

At Averte, building ethical, authentic relationships isn’t just a strategy, it’s the foundation of how meaningful change happens. Kristin brings this philosophy into every partnership she develops, and this panel will reflect exactly that: how to drive business development while staying deeply rooted in integrity and human connection.

On April 22nd, she will be joined by an exceptional group of industry leaders who are shaping the future of behavioral health collaboration:

There’s something powerful about bringing the right people together in the right setting ✨

What an incredible evening of clinical networking at 230 Fifth Rooftop Bar, a space that continues to set the tone for meaningful connection in the heart of Manhattan.

Averte was proud to have Kristin Calderon representing the team, thoughtfully cultivating relationships and creating space for authentic, face-to-face dialogue among clinicians and partners. Her ability to bring warmth, intention, and strategy into every room is a reflection of the humanistic approach that defines Averte’s outreach.

A sincere thank you to the dedicated clinicians and partners who joined us in the rooftop igloo. While the guest list was intentionally intimate, the depth of connection and collaboration made a lasting impact, the kind that strengthens our professional community in all the right ways.

On behalf of Averte, it was a privilege to co-host alongside Spruce Mountain, Gould Farm, New Vitae, and Clark’s Manor. Partnerships like these are what continue to move the field forward 🤝

And this is just the beginning. Averte is already looking ahead with excitement to hosting more rooftop events across Manhattan this year. There’s nothing quite like bringing great minds together under the skyline 🏙️

We’re excited to share a new digital home for Averte! 🌐

Averte, a Trivium Life Services program, now has its own dedicated website:
averte.triviumlifeservices.org

This new site is designed to reflect Averte’s therapeutic residential mental health services and make it easier for individuals, families, and referral partners to find the information they need.

While the site shares the trusted Trivium look and feel, the content is tailored specifically to Averte’s programs, approach, and the communities we serve across New England.

This is an exciting step forward as we continue to grow, strengthen connections, and provide clear, accessible pathways to care.

🔦 STAFF SPOTLIGHT 🔦

Jeff is Averte’s Program Manager for the Birch House. He started working for the company in 2010 when it was Merry Meadow Farm. After working as support staff for 10 years at the Hanover House, the opportunity to manage presented itself. With the experience & knowledge of the day to day operations of house & medications, it was a seamless transition.

Jeff lives in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He enjoys riding his Harley Davidson, attending concerts, camping, and working on his house in his free time.

Our Global Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships, Kristin Calderon, had an incredible experience last month visiting Lori Shore and Peter Walsh at Williamsburg House!

At Averte, we believe that the environment is a cornerstone of the healing process. Kristin was truly blown away not just by the thoughtful design of the program itself, but by the intentionality behind the physical space. The rooms are designed with such care; they genuinely feel like a home, providing the comfort and dignity so vital for recovery.

A huge thank you to the team for the wonderful tour, the lunch, and the top-tier hospitality. We are energized by the work you're doing and look forward to our continued collaboration! 🤝

On behalf of the entire team at Averte, we want to send a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the NJ EAPA meeting last month at Rutgers! It was a privilege to connect with 30 of you in person and have another 15 join the conversation virtually.

At Averte, we believe that a strong community is the foundation of a better continuum of care for adults. We hope everyone enjoyed the lunch and the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues across the field.

A special shout-out to our VP of Operations, Shanna Meyer, MA, LCMHC, MT-BC, CYT for her incredibly insightful presentation. It was inspiring to see her spark such high-level engagement and passion around these vital topics.

Our "Big Room" serves as the central gathering point for our residents and staff. By providing a spacious, light-filled area for group activities and social interaction, we foster an atmosphere of transparency, safety, and mutual respect.

Shannon Bergholm is the Office Coordinator at Averte, a Trivium Life Services Program in New England, where she brings over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. For the past decade, she has been a vital part of the Trivium team, supporting operations through her expertise in billing, administrative coordination, and participation on the IT Steering Committee.

Shannon’s dedication to helping others extends beyond the workplace. She is also a licensed foster home provider through the state of Vermont, offering care and support to children in need.

Known for her warm personality and can-do attitude, Shannon is passionate about creating a welcoming and efficient environment for both clients and colleagues. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three boys, fishing, playing basketball, and woodworking.
