Most of the time, we fall off because what we’re trying to do doesn’t actually feel supportive in our bodies.⁠

Yoga doesn’t have to be intense to be effective.⁠
It just has to be something you can come back to, again and again.⁠

Two full days of connection, community, and love.

Thank you for inviting me to your amazing community event! I am so honored that I could share some beautiful insights of the upcoming year.

Green Lotus held our first mindful NYE event… thank you for bringing your dream idea to our space and creating new community 💚 So grateful for everyone who came and planted seeds for 2026

This morning I led a NYD mala, 12 beautiful souls came together honoring what’s been lived, and opening space for what’s coming!

Thank you to everyone who showed up for themselves over the past couple of days! Remember 2026 is the defining year of the 2020’s. The things you set in motion this year will manifest beautifully over the next 35 years. Yes, 35 years. A new Saturn-Neptune cycle is beginning, helping us make our dreams a reality through 2061. Meanwhile, all of the social and outer planets will be in fire or air signs by mid-year, helping us dynamically push forward and take chances on things we’d been mulling over for years. Ultimately, the movers and shakers of the upcoming decades will have hatched their big ideas in 2026.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Heart meridian has multiple branches.

One branch travels down through the diaphragm to connect with the Small Intestine,
linking emotional clarity with our ability to sort, process, and integrate.

Another branch travels across the chest and lungs, traveling out through the armpit, and flows down the inner arm through the elbow, wrist, and palm , ending at the inside tip of the pinky finger, where it connects with the Small Intestine meridian (more later on this line).

This is why tightness in the chest, shoulders, armpits, or inner arms can be connected to emotional overload, restlessness, or difficulty settling.

Yin Yoga works with this pathway gently, not to force release, but to restore circulation and ease.

When Heart Qi flows smoothly, the breath softens, the body relaxes, and the system feels more coherent.

They’re a way to move energy through the body, so we can sit in meditation , breathe, and be with ourselves more clearly.

The Heart Meridian begins deep inside the heart itself, the emperor organ in TCM, the keeper of spirit, joy, and emotional truth.

From there, it travels upward through the throat, the gateway of expression.
They say that when the Heart is open, the voice softens and becomes more honest. The pathway literally moves through the place where truth is spoken.

Then the meridian continues its rise, threading upward into the lower portion of the eye, what TCM calls the “eye of the heart.”
This is the space where we see the world through feeling, not logic. Where perception is colored by joy, grief, longing, disappointment, hope, all the heart’s textures.

Energetically, this pathway shows us:
How we feel impacts how we speak. Blocked emotions can tighten the throat; openness brings ease, warmth, and vulnerability.
The emotions we hold color the way we view others, relationships, and the world.

When this meridian is in harmony, we often have feelings of:
• Inner warmth
• Emotional clarity
• A soft, connected presence
• Being “more ourselves”

When it’s in disharmony, signs can show up as:
• Anxiety, restlessness, scattered thoughts
• Trouble expressing feelings
• Seeing life through a fearful lens
• Feeling disconnected from oneself or others

I’ve been teaching yoga for quite a bit, and one thing I know for sure is this:⁠

Most people avoid yoga because they think they’re “not good enough” for it.⁠

Not flexible enough.⁠
Not strong enough.⁠
Not wearing the right clothes.⁠
Not doing the poses “right.”⁠

Let's be super clear → NONE of that matters at Green Lotus. WE care about your presence, your breath, your safety, and that you feel free to be yourself on the mat, ALWAYS.⁠

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Lung governs Qi, boundaries, grief, immunity, and the tender process of receiving.
When this meridian is in harmony, we feel clear, inspired, open, and connected.

When it’s out of balance or in disharmony, we may notice respiratory issues, shallow breath, sadness, fatigue, or a sense of being cut off from ourselves, and the inability to let go.

The Lung line can release stagnation, making space for ease, breath, and emotional clarity, clearer skin, and stronger immune system.

Sensations you might feel: gentle opening across the chest, upper arms, and inner biceps… breath dropping deeper… a quieting inside.

Emotions that may arise: grief, tenderness, relief, or a soft return to hope and joy.

Yin yoga touches on the meridian lines and reminds us:
To exhale what weighs us down.
To inhale what supports us.
