We provide community-based Therapeutic Recreation to individuals with disabilities or special needs. The R.V.S.R.A. Office Hours M-F 8:30 am-4:30 pm

is an association formed by member agencies to provide community-based Therapeutic Recreation to individuals with disabilities or special needs. Member agencies provide the primary source of operational revenue through a property tax levy available to the Park Districts who have entered into a cooperative agreement. Our member districts are: Bourbonnais Township Park District, Kankakee Valley Par

k District and Limestone Park District. The SRA views itself as a completion of the commitment of each associating Park District's responsibility to serve all its citizens including individuals with special needs.

Due to the popularity of this program, we have added an ADDITIONAL date!

Hop on the RVSRA bus and join us as we embark on a delicious journey to discover which pizzeria reigns supreme in town! We'll visit some of the most popular local pizzerias, sample their signature slices and learn what makes each one special. Pizza dinner included in program fee.

Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Camp SOAR campers had an unforgettable time last week diving into the wonders of nature! 🌳🎣 They kicked off the week with a trip to Willowhaven, where they enjoyed fishing and hiking, followed by a fun bowling adventure! 🎳

Back at camp, they got creative (and messy!) making mud cups, relaxed with a showing of Tarzan, and had a blooming good time with special guest Andrea, a florist, who taught everyone how to make beautiful bouquets! 💐

We wrapped up the week with a visit to the Little Red Schoolhouse where campers explored trails, visited the sensory garden, learned about local wildlife, and saw animal exhibits up close. 🦉🌸

What an amazing week of adventure, learning, and fun! 🌞💚

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Sweet Darrens for a sweet evening of building our own ice cream sundaes! After we’ve crafted the perfect sundaes, we’ll sit down to enjoy them while playing some classic board games with friends. Please note, this program is for children ages 6-12.

Picnics are a classic summer tradition! We'll pack our lunches at the RVSRA office, then head to the beautiful Grove park in Bourbonnais for a picnic with friends. Transportation to the Grove will be provided by RVSRA. This discounted fee is made possible thanks to the generous support of the RVSRF.

Please note, this program is recommended for participants ages 13-21.
