Get to know Dr. Andrew Sabir...
-Grew up in Brainerd, MN
• lucky to have grown up on a small lake enjoying Minnesota to the fullest
-Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from University of Minnesota Duluth
• Minor in Anthropology
-Doctor of Optometry from University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, TX
-Worked as a ophthalmic technician prior to going to optometry school (helped develop my passion for eyecare and optometry profession)
-Hobbies:
• hiking
• camping
• enjoying the great outdoors anywhere I go
• traveling, especially road trips
• visiting/exploring state and national parks
• downhill skiing
• following/cheering for the Minnesota Vikings (diehard fan, skol!)
• running/exercise
• mountain biking
• reading
• hanging out with my family and my dog
-Why I am passionate about optometry:
• enjoy talking to and getting to know patients
• enjoy helping patients and working to make their lives better
• enjoy helping patients solve their visual problems
• very rewarding career because I get the chance to help others
-Areas of interest in optometry:
• primary eye care
• eye disease
• contact lenses (including specialty lenses)
• dry eye care
• pediatric eye care
