With a heart for nurturing and a calming presence, Jennifer Welk brings deep compassion, experience, and dedication to her role as a birth doula. A proud mother of three and grandmother of two, Jennifer’s journey into birth work is rooted in a lifelong commitment to helping others, including 23 years of volunteer service as an EMT in her community.

Jennifer is passionate about supporting women and their partners through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period. She believes every family deserves a birth experience that feels supported, informed, and respected. Her gentle approach and steady presence help create a sense of peace and confidence during one of life’s most meaningful transitions.

Jennifer offers mindful, individualized support for women who may carry past experiences that shape how they approach birth. With a focus on trust, consent, and emotional safety, she strives to create a calm and supportive space where each client feels heard, empowered, and at ease.

Starting her doula business is a natural next step in Jennifer’s lifelong dedication to health, service, and women’s well-being. Whether it’s a first baby or a growing family, Jennifer walks alongside each client with the belief that birth is not just an event — it’s a deeply personal and sacred experience.

We are thrilled to announce the successful vaginal delivery of an 8lb 15oz baby girl, following a previous cesarean section. The VBAC was safely facilitated by a supportive birth team that prioritized the mother's preferences and avoided unnecessary medical interventions.

Last but certainly not least we have our incredible doula Dawn.

Hello! My name is Dawn and I’m a certified Birth Doula through DONA International (Doula’s of North America).

After years in banking and a short time in Orthopedic surgery, I feel I’ve finally found my true calling as a Doula. Supporting families during the birth process will never get old. I learn something new every time and am humbled to be welcomed into such a personal/wonderful experience.

Although I’d love to give each mama their desired birth, my plan is to help you be mentally and physically prepared for whatever decisions come your way and I’ll support YOU in making evidenced based decisions for your birth in real time. I’ll also encourage the birth partner to be as involved as they’d like to be, helping with positioning, encouraging and support. I believe the whole family dynamic is strengthened during birth when all feel included and appreciated.

During my down time, I enjoy researching anything birth related, spending time with my family and dogs and thrift shopping for vintage gas station advertising.

I am a certified Hypnobabies Doula and a certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. I am trained in the use of TENS unit for Childbirth, enrolled with Minnesota Department of Health and am contracted with Everyday Miracles Core Doula Program, which enables me to accept MA supported insurance – everyday-miracles.org
