This routine with our Hair Serum and Hair Styling Wax is perfect for people with a curl type between 2C and 3A, like Paula, to really bring those curls to life but our products work great on all hair and curl types! The main difference is how much product to use. Straighter hair means less product while curlier hair just needs a little more :)

Eucalyptus, also known as the Australian fever tree, is an herbal powerhouse. Known for its sinus-clearing aroma, eucalyptus oil is packed with antioxidants and has antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and expectorant properties. The gel found inside the stems of this heat-loving succulent has been a go-to remedy for centuries. The plant’s adaption to hot, arid climates allows it to store its moisture in its thick stem-like leaves. Aloe Vera gel is known for its healing properties and can soothe burns, improve acne, and even help with conditions like lichen planus and psoriasis. It’s also a main ingredient we use in all our sudsy, soapy products!

Carrot Seed Oil is used in many of our products, including our Sun Screen, Sun Balm, and Revitalizing Serum with Sun Protection. Here are some facts you may not know ☺️

A Plant of Many Names: The carrot plant in the wild, unlike when grown in a garden, blossoms white flowers and goes by Queen Anne's Lace, Bishop's Lace, Bird's Nest and many other names.

Blocks Sunlight: Carrot Seed oil contains a compound called umbelliferone which absorbs UVB-light. Because of this compound, it also helps with maintaining an even skin tone.

The AntiHero To the Rescue! : Carrot Seed oil has been studied by the NIH and is confirmed to be antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory. Furthermore, carrot seed oil has been proven to be an effective antioxidant!

A vital ingredient in our Sun Screen, Sun Balm, Lip Balms, and so many more…Carnauba Wax is a hypo-allergenic, non-toxic tree wax that has many beneficial properties.

It helps to guard against UVA and UVB rays and can protect the skin from environmental contaminants as well. Furthermore, it’s a crucial thickening agent, or emollient, in many skin care products.

Most importantly it’s a viable, organic alternative to toxic synthetic ingredients. Unlike petroleum-derived ingredients that serve similar functions, products with carnauba wax are actually able to hydrate the skin and keep it healthy. Petrochemicals actually trap moisture, dirt, and contaminants essentially suffocating the skin. This creates the illusion of hydration without any true long-term benefits. Celebrating the 4th of July brings to mind BBQs, fireworks, Independence, and fun in the sun! But for many pets, these celebrations can be overwhelming and even traumatic. In fact, more pets are lost on July 4th than any other day of the year!

Here are some suggestions for helping your pets through the festivities…

⛺️ Create a safe space like a den for your pet—the cozier the better! Somewhere they can feel comfortable and secure

🐶 Try a compression jacket (like the Thundershirt) to provide gentle, steady pressure to soothe the nervous system

😌 Many people turn to CBD for nervous system regulation and stress management

🌿 For dogs (but not cats) you can also try some light aromatherapy with herbs like chamomile, clary sage, or lavender

🧩 Try peanut butter lick mats, frozen kongs, or puzzle treat dispensers to distract and positively re-condition them

🎧 Get noise cancelling headphones or ear muffs (yes, they make them for pets too!) or play loud, soothing music or white noise to drown out the sounds

🏡 Be present. Our fur children feel the most safe when we’re with them. Seeing that we are relaxed in spite of the loud noises can help indicate to them that there’s nothing to be afraid of
